If you are a returning choir member, or you would like to join the Sanctuary Choir, please attend the first rehearsal of the season on Wednesday, September 10. We will meet at 6:30 PM in the choir loft. Please come and meet our new choir director, Randy Frasier and discover how much fun it is to sing in the choir! Bring a friend.

» Personal Prayer Team - Prayer tents will be available for personal prayer needs. You are invited to join a team representing VFCOG joining with other churches. Shifts are Friday, August 22, 6-9 PM or Saturday, August 23, 2-5 PM. Sign up in the church office.

» Drivers with vans are needed. We will leave from the church at 5:00 PM Friday and 1:00 PM Saturday.

Small Groups: Go Fish

Fishing stories. People love to tell of their ﬁshing adventures. When it comes to faith, however, most people clam up. Why is it that we can’t talk about what God has done in our lives as naturally as we can spin ﬁshing tales?

Small groups throughout the church will explore the motivation behind sharing our faith in a six session study starting the week of September 21. If you are not currently in a small group, sign up below and someone will call to help you join one.

But God, in His grace, will use three men to guide Israel through these crises into the next stage of His plan: Samuel, the prophet who directs Israel’s transition from judgeship to monarchy; Saul, the ?rst king, who epitomizes what God doesn’t want in a leader; and David, the man after God’s own heart. These men remain perfect examples of godliness–and half-hearted commitment–for Christians today.

VBS Volunteers Needed

We don’t want to “bug” you, but if you are able to help during our Metamorphosis VBS, August 18 - 22, 6:30 - 8:30 PM, please send an email to Courtney Wilson telling us where you would like to help (crafts, snack, games, science/missions, Bible time, preschool, or drama). Also, a large sign up board will be in the church lobby on Sunday, July 27.

We are excited to introduce to you our new Senior Pastor Don Doe and his wife Lori from Scottsdale, Arizona. Born and raised in California, Pastor Doe is a Warner graduate (BA in religion) who went on to earn his Master of Divinity degree from the Anderson School of Theology. Pastor Doe is considered to be one of the top preachers in the Church of God movement. He is known for his warm, humorous, relational style and ability to make the Scriptures relevant to our everyday lives.
