Traditional Worship
Music and worship are an exciting part of our gathering as believers each week. It has a supernatural way of ushering us into the very presence of God and provides a meaningful venue to express our souls attitude and life experience beyond words.
We offer traditional worship experiences every Sunday, and throughout the year we have special celebrations of music and art to expand one's worship perspective. Our Sanctuary Choir, Bell Choir, Concert Band, Vocal Ensembles, and a variety of musicians use their talents to inspire, uplift, and call hearts to praise.
We are always looking for musicians to serve in various venues throughout the church ministries. If you would like to get involved, please call the church office to explore the possibilities. We would love to meet you!
Worship Styles at First Church of God
Traditional Worship ~ 11:00 am
Traditional Worship is committed to upholding the great hymns of the faith as we strive for a growing newness in our music and worship. Our traditional service is centered around the hymns and "classics" of sacred music which have stood the test of time. You will experience worship with the Sanctuary Choir, bells, and other orchestral instruments.
Sanctuary Choir
Our Sanctuary Choir music spans a broad spectrum of styles, ranging from the "classics" of sacred music to new "hymns and spiritual songs" written by contemporary composers.

The choir rehearses every Wednesday evening, at 7:00 - 8:15 pm, September thru June. Choir is the perfect entry point into our music program. Open invitation!
Singing Christmas Tree
Our Singing Christmas Tree has been a Vancouver tradition for over 30 years. This elaborate musical production combines a festival choir, handbells, children, drama, dance, and special effects, drawing on the talents of hundreds in our congregation. It is a festive way to introduce friends, neighbors, and co-workers to the life-giving message of Christ. It's 10 performances begin on the first Friday of December.
Rehearsals begin on the first Wednesday evening of September at 8:00 pm. Open invitation!
