In Psalm 24 the Psalmist asks the following questions: “Who may climb the mountain of the Lord? Who may stand in His holy place?” The answer: “Only those whose hands and hearts are pure…” (Psalm 24:3-4)

This is holiness! A person with pure hands and heart! It is as much an attitude as it is a lifestyle. Unfortunately, it is a lifestyle that is becoming more and more relative. It’s not what it used to be, but that is not because God has changed…it’s because we have.

Today’s generation is tomorrow’s leaders, and they are hungry for truth. They hunger for someone to believe in them, to teach them, and to train them. Too many things have been written, and too many people are telling them that there is no absolute truth and that all things are relevant.

There is no second guessing the scriptures. 1 Peter 1:16 says, “…You must be holy because I am holy.”

That is our call…it is a call to holiness. We at Kaleo believe this and are striving to live up to this call. Hence our name: Kaleo (pronounced “kah lay oh”). This is the Greek word for “a call or to invite.”

Who We Are

Kaleo is the College Ministry of Vancouver First Church of God.

Why We Are

Kaleo desires to actively join the congregation of Vancouver First Church of God in building people of faith to reach our community for Christ. We strive to impact our families, communities, and our colleges to spread the revolutionary message of Jesus Christ. So we worship, pray, and learn with the desire to invite our world into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

What We Do

Our goal at Kaleo is to provide everyone with avenues of growth and outreach. We facilitate accountability, discipleship, and small groups in addition to our Sunday worship and special events.

Small Groups

Small groups are for digging deep into the Word. No bells and whistles, just meat and application. These groups meet at various times during the week.
